East Coast Swing music!

Description:

Born from rhythm and blues, East Coast swing music is lively, upbeat and traditionally American. An infectious heavy downbeat on the even numbers in each measure make it hard to not want to dance when you hear this music. Slower than the Jive, but generally quicker than the West Coast Swing, the mid-tempo of East Coast swing music, allows dancers to have some spring in their step without too being overly bouncy (like the jive), making it more doable for all levels of dancers. Because of it's versatility and adaptability to both older and new pop songs, it is a very popular social dance.
