What a sweet and touching story of an elderly lady whose last wish is for one more waltz.
Mrs. Mary Coffey & partner photo: www.cbs11tv.com | It's been fifteen years since losing her husband and dance partner of 58 years, and with a medical diagnosis of less than one year to live, Mrs. Mary Coffey wanted to get in one more dance here, before being reunited with her husband in heaven. With the help of the staff at her care facility, arraignments were made to for Mrs. Coffey to do just that. |
Mrs. Coffey, 94, reminisced about her husband's proposal during the "The Tennessee Waltz" and about going to weekly dances together throughout their marriage that kept the spark alive between them. A great testimony to the benefits of ballroom dancing for couples!
